YES YOU CAN!!!!

Great Lakes Mastiff Rescue, Inc.(GLMR) exists solely to re-home English Mastiffs of good temperament, but we need your help so that we may continue help these big dogs.

Our adoption donations barely cover the cost of routine medical expenses for a healthy adult English Mastiff. Before dogs are placed into homes we have the following performed:

• Examined by a Veterinarian to determine their condition
• Spayed/neutered
• Brought up-to-date on routine immunizations
• Brought up-to-date on rabies inoculations
• Heartworm tested and if free of Heartworm started on preventative medications.
• If they are Heartworm positive we begin treatment.
• Fecal tested to ensure they have no internal parasites and treat if necessary.
• Micro-chipped as a permanent means of identification

If you don't think this is expensive please call your veterinarian and ask what the costs associated with the above would be for a 185 pound English Mastiff. If GLMR takes a dog into rescue that has serious medical issues the costs increase from there.

We do not do this for the money. Everyone associated with GLMR is a volunteer. We make no money personally for what we do. In fact most of the time it does cost us money. The only expenses that GLMR can reimburse volunteers for are Veterinary expenses. As we foster dogs we cover the costs of feeding and caring for them. We do what we do for the love of this great breed.

We would like to be able to assist any English Mastiff with a good temperament, regardless of health, but need to have the funding available to do so.

We are a 501c3 organization.
